The tripod is designed to give a strong, stable and portable anchorage point for fall arrest and recovery systems. Used with a fall arrest device and or a winch, the tripod is the basis of a confined space entry and rescue system. One worker can set up the sturdy, but lightweight aluminium tripod. Leg clamps can be supplied to fit any configuration of equipment.
The tripod can have up to 6 anchor points all tested to EN795:1997. The 3 overhead pulleys can all accommodate rope up to 11mm diameter. This allows one pulley for the user and two pulleys for the rescuer allowing the rescuer to be double roped whilst recovering the user.
Optional: Three eyebolts can attach below the head and used for fall arrest and or recovery. These extra anchor points may be used with pulleys for airlines, communication lines, medical kits, tool kits, etc. Mechanical prusik and automatic belay devices may be attached to the eyebolts. The eyebolts may also be used to anchor the tripod with anchor ropes.
