The Petzl Gemini has a prusik pulley construction. This type of pulley is designed to be used with the self-locking Prusik hitch, producing a lightweight progress capture system.
Their flat base releases the prusik hitch when the hitch comes up against the base of the pulley.
The Petzl Gemini is a double version of the Mini with the light weight drilled construction. For use in technical hauling systems etc.
